Happy Ending

I just got back from a rather dramatic swift water rescue. This lady called 911 to report that water was lapping at the edges of her trailer. Boone Firefighters lowered the 100 ft ladder over Laurel Fork Creek and helped the lady and her cat Angel into the bucket. The cat was not a happy camper but the lady was. Other problems in the area: 1) a sink hole in downtown Boone, 2) a bunch of dummies stranded in vehicles as they try to forge swollen streams 3) Landslides on Hwy 105.I have seen enough action for the day and look forward to a big glass of Australian Cabernet this evening.
