August mornings bring fog, spider webs, dew covered Joe Pye weed and bright sunflowers to the High Country. This morning I wandered out to Caldwell Community College and found a perfect mixture of fog and blue skies.

- I took a winter walk through the woods near my home this week. Harley was my steadfast companion. We found numerous human artifacts and we would like to share a few with you.
Tater Hill Paragliding Competition May 2006
- An album of photos taken on May 10, 2006 of a hang gliding and paragliding competition held on top of Tater Hill in Zionville, North Carolina.
Watauga River Run 2007
- This is an album of photos I took at Saturday's 6th annual Watauga River Run in Valle Crucis, N.C. The 5K event raises money for the Watauga County Schools and Zapfitness in honor of a pair of runners, Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer, who died a week apart in 2002. Watauga River Run 2006
- 135 runners took part in the 5th annual Watauga River Run on May 27th 2006. The 5k race started and ended at Valle Crucis Elementary school. Proceeds from the race benefit the Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer Memorial Funds.
