Last but not least,

Late night for me. Lots of work to complete for the day job before I go to Raleigh for a little weekend R&R.
No photo to post right now because I am way too tired to prep the shot of a doe I took this morning piggin' out in the forest. Maybe I'll get around to it early tomorrow.
But I must tell you that my ginseng patch was poached yesterday. The thieves took all the mature plants. I am mostly sad because they took the plants before the seeds were ripe enough to fall and reproduce. The market for wild ginseng has fallen so these wildcrafters won't fetch a decent price for their stolen goods...it is kin to mugging a person and seriously wounding them for a sum of $10. No rhyme or reason....just pathetic.
But don't be sad...I've spread the ginseng seed all over the place and will move all the baby plants to different locations so the thieves will have to search long and hard. I also have contact the forest service to provide me with a harmless dye to inject into the plant that will color the roots which will mark them as stolen goods, thus unusable. My fight has only begun. ta ta for now.
