The family morning happenings put me in a rather snitty mood so I believed that much of my day was going to be spent in a similiar funk. But My Strange Little Frenchman knew I needed a lift. Waiting on my desk was a petite cadeau from Auert Gerard from Willerwald. I smiled. I cannot remember if I have shared this with you, but several years ago, the monsieur wrote to a letter to my newspaper requesting information about the film Where the Lilies Bloom. I could basically understand his request and sent him a response. Every since, I have received numerous gifts from him. Mainly English novels translated into French, French magazines and CDs of classical music. Today, Auert sent to me J.D. Salinger's "A Catcher in the Rye" which is oddly titled in French as " L'attrape-coeurs" and a cd of music by Anthoine Boesset (1587-1643) . What should I send him in return?
I've taken a couple days away from the camera because I just frankly needed a break, but am now ready to resume being a shutterbug. Thanks to My Strange Little Frenchman.
