Check out the pollen sacks on this lady! She was working hard gathering the goods from a redbud tree outside of the Broyhill Center in Lenoir. Honeybees and other native pollinators were on a feeding frenzy. Down the mountain, the trees have leaves and blooms. My husband described the color of new green leaves as 'hopeful'.
The weekend round-up: LAX won both matches (14-2) and (7-5). The Boccone Dolce is history-no leftovers. My tiny dancer's team brought home a couple of first place trophys as well as overall awards. The gift from Winn-Dixie was a DVD of West Side Story--my youngest child's favorite musical this week. We've watched it twice so far.
