This flame azalea has photographically troubled me for years. It resides on the up-slope of our gravel road and each year it faithfully blooms, taunting me to take a photo. Problem is, it sits in a horrible spot. Trust me. I have climbed all around it in all sorts of light and am never satisfied with my results. This flame azalea seems to stick its tongue out at me and say, "Nah nah nah nah nah nah, I dare you." Well, this morning I decided to sneak up on it and take a photo of it from afar--while it wasn't looking. While not perfect, I'm getting closer to happy.
