As I went through the Wendy's intersection this morning, I glanced over at Howard Knob and saw a cloud obstructing the peak with a brillant contrasting blue sky above. It was then that I knew my direction for the moment. I climbed up to the top of Boone and took the Junaluska Road hoping to find my cloud. Yet, it managed to blow beyond my reach today. I continued down the dusty road and found my faithful favorite building in all of Watauga County. I've shown it to you here before.
Last night at Wanda's was great fun. Lamb and other greek goodies. Yum. But I think I need to get out more often as my social skills are a bit rusty. With a couple of glasses of wine in me I tend to talk more than I listen. Of couse I droned on and on about my blah blah blog.
On a side note. Youngest daughter was more sluggish than usual this morning. The only words she could mutter this morning were: "If I was a bad kid and did bad things, I would skip school today. But I'm not so here I go to school." I almost wished that I could give her a reprieve, but I'm not that nice. As we waiting behind a line of busses, she did add, " I wish there was a nap class."
I concur.
