The Appalachian Summer Festival  concluded Saturday evening with a show of fireworks that lit the campus. I watched from a new secret spot I found on Wallace Circle. In the foreground is the steeple on the First Baptist Church. You can also see the dome on the new library. I wish the fireworks were set off a bit earlier because then you might be able to see the blue glow of the surrounding mountains.
