Two evenings ago, the sky was perfectly clear except for a couple of clouds that lingered over Grandfather Mountain. One cloud clung to the summit and I can only imagine the what the light must have been like within it on top.
It has been a ridiculously busy, yet rewarding week. I've had several people contact me regarding housing for storm victims. Still nothing concrete set up, but I remain hopeful.
I've been busy taking photos for an upcoming issue of a woman's magazine. I am generally uncomfortable taking photos of women because gosh darn if most of us are so dang vain that the worry shows up in the photographs. However this group of women were so comfortable in their own skin that I have a batch of unusually fun shots. My favorite was shooting the nurse/mid-wife. I talked her into letting me climb into the stirrups (I had shorts on, thank you) and shoot her from the perspective that her patients see her. We aren't going to use those shots, but it was just weird enough to keep us laughing the whole time.
I'll leave you with that for right now....
