I took this photo this afternoon. It was about 5pm-ish. I did use the Photoshop Shadow control to even out the shadowed foreground with the highlighted background. I was pleased with the punchy-ness of this image. Other than sizing and sharpness and some dodging on the fence post, it is relatively clean wysiwyg.
For the past 50 years, Watauga County has saluted those who make our food. I love attending the local Farm-City awards for many reasons. 1) I get to see lots of folks that I just plain like. 2) I get to see everyday people get honored. and 3) It is a celebration of our community--what makes us special. I think you have to be there, but it is a nice mix of cowboy boots and suits...
A budding high school photographer approached me this evening. We've met before and I admired her composure as well as her genuine passion for photography. She was bouncy and sweet and asked me if I could take a look at her portfolio before she submits it for college review. Oh yeah! I could not think of anything I would rather do...except go out and make images. I'm all about talking shop...
