Yes, it snowed last night. As is typical, the peaks saw more accumulation than the valleys. I've been slaving to get my pre-Thanksgiving work done so that I can go out and take more photos for you. I want it to snow more- lots and lots and lots. I want to sit in my living room like I did last night and watch the snow fall. I want to curl up in my the afghan that my grandmother made and read a book. I want to play a game of Scrabble with anyone who feels like it at the moment. I want to catch up on reading some of your blogs. I just want to have a really good reason to stay at home. So let it snow--lots and lots.

Appalachian Artifacts
- I took a winter walk through the woods near my home this week. Harley was my steadfast companion. We found numerous human artifacts and we would like to share a few with you.
Tater Hill Paragliding Competition May 2006
- An album of photos taken on May 10, 2006 of a hang gliding and paragliding competition held on top of Tater Hill in Zionville, North Carolina.
Watauga River Run 2007
- This is an album of photos I took at Saturday's 6th annual Watauga River Run in Valle Crucis, N.C. The 5K event raises money for the Watauga County Schools and Zapfitness in honor of a pair of runners, Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer, who died a week apart in 2002. Watauga River Run 2006
- 135 runners took part in the 5th annual Watauga River Run on May 27th 2006. The 5k race started and ended at Valle Crucis Elementary school. Proceeds from the race benefit the Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer Memorial Funds.
