I liberally used Photoshop to alter this image that I took this morning at the Dutch Creek Trails on Broadstone Rd. I was trying to go for a lithographic effect and although it isn't exactly what I was looking for, it still looks cowboy enough for me.
**Update**
So today at work I fielded numerous phone calls about a photo I took of an openly gay couple participating in a mock wedding, because afterall, same-sex couples may not be legally wed in North Carolina. All of the phone calls that were directed towards me were negative in nature.
"I just want you to know that I don't appreciate that photo you took," said one kind lady.
"I'd rather see a bull and a cow together than that," said another man.
And my favorite: "Lady, that sort of thing just doesn't do around here."
My editor and publisher also took many phone calls.
Makes me wonder what kind of reaction same-sex couples encounter everyday on the streets of my county or if maybe people just want to kill the messenger?
