I was up at 5 am cooking sausage biscuits for the girls. Both have school field trips to the big city and every so often I get the urge to show 'em my love by dropping little fat bombs into the breakfast food. I had every intention of patting them on the head, shuffling them out the door returning myself to bed for a snooze, except I was wide awake. By 6:30 am, all the laundry was washed and folded, the dishwasher doing its job and I had chased and killed the big juicy fly that had been pesterning me. I settled down with a cup of coffee and paid a few bills when I realized that I was going to get to see the sun make its morning debut upon the Valle Crucis ridges. In particular I was interested in a morning fog twisting around the spring green leaves near Preacher Billings Rd. I set up my tripod and took a whole series of shots while Harley kept me company upon my deck.
It was a blessed morning...
(This photo is unretouched except I did bump up the contrast in Photoshop and cleared out a ton of spots. My sensor is in major need of cleaning. Oh, and I used my 80-200 2.8 lens fitted with a teleconverter.)
