or...the evolution of tailgating. Basically the concept is multi-generational in that tailgating is all about good food (and beverage) good friends and good times...yet the application is ever-expanding. In my time tailgating was about the serious dudes carrying around a cooler full of drinks. At best, chairs were an after-thought. I mean, that was what the gutters were for, weren't they? These days the students are more thoughtful and creative in their quest to imitate Caligula. In the lot of Raley I begged my way upon custom built adirondack-styled lifeguard stands to grab several shots of the coolest Appalachian Tiki party ever. Nearby was a pick-up bed pool, a satellite dish hooked up to four tv's tucked inside a trailer to watch other games, a friendly game of Beer Pong and last but not least, a huge blow-up swimming pool chocked full of scantily clad co-eds.
( An obvious disclosure: I had to use alot of Photoshop to move pixels to create this panorama and click on the photo for a slightly larger view. The full sized photo is way cool!)
