Life was full the past several days and I completely neglected my blog. I sit here trying to find which of my thoughts to share but my brain feels weedy--sort of like this iris struggling to grow through the grass in Valle Crucis park. I beg your forgiveness and understanding and will post more later. Gonna go now, wake up my youngest ballerina and pack her lunch with the newest family fun, Chocolate Pop Rocks. I know. I'm mom of the year, right?

Appalachian Artifacts
- I took a winter walk through the woods near my home this week. Harley was my steadfast companion. We found numerous human artifacts and we would like to share a few with you.
Tater Hill Paragliding Competition May 2006
- An album of photos taken on May 10, 2006 of a hang gliding and paragliding competition held on top of Tater Hill in Zionville, North Carolina.
Watauga River Run 2007
- This is an album of photos I took at Saturday's 6th annual Watauga River Run in Valle Crucis, N.C. The 5K event raises money for the Watauga County Schools and Zapfitness in honor of a pair of runners, Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer, who died a week apart in 2002. Watauga River Run 2006
- 135 runners took part in the 5th annual Watauga River Run on May 27th 2006. The 5k race started and ended at Valle Crucis Elementary school. Proceeds from the race benefit the Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer Memorial Funds.
