Yo. There is one beautiful tree bearing fall colors on Sanford Mall on the campus of Appalachian State.
On a football note: I am relieved ASU beat Elon this weekend.
On another note: Local radio irks me. At 3:30 p.m. and right smack dab in the middle of the ASU game, the radio switched to racing. I wouldn't be so irritated except that is the third time I've tuned in specifically to listen to their programming only to have it interrupted by technical gliches.
I was not happy and called a friend who informed me the Wilkesboro station 97.3 fm carried the game and comes in crystal clear without random screwups. Thank you friend and so long local radio.
P.S. I'm in love with my Sirius Satellite for everything else.
P.S.S. Later I spoke with another friend who informed me that on Go ASU I can connect to a live audio stream of each game. Sweet.

Appalachian Artifacts
- I took a winter walk through the woods near my home this week. Harley was my steadfast companion. We found numerous human artifacts and we would like to share a few with you.
Tater Hill Paragliding Competition May 2006
- An album of photos taken on May 10, 2006 of a hang gliding and paragliding competition held on top of Tater Hill in Zionville, North Carolina.
Watauga River Run 2007
- This is an album of photos I took at Saturday's 6th annual Watauga River Run in Valle Crucis, N.C. The 5K event raises money for the Watauga County Schools and Zapfitness in honor of a pair of runners, Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer, who died a week apart in 2002. Watauga River Run 2006
- 135 runners took part in the 5th annual Watauga River Run on May 27th 2006. The 5k race started and ended at Valle Crucis Elementary school. Proceeds from the race benefit the Gwen Tyrie and Andy Palmer Memorial Funds.
