Annie was patient as I drove into the cornfield then parked and climbed onto the roof of my Jeep to make this photo of the the distant Mast General Store Annex. It was all good though, as earlier she had fun weaving in and out of the stalks.
I had two days off and was in such a state of confusion that I completed nothing other than general housekeeping until my husband came to the rescue and insisted we hike onto yonder ridge just see what we could see. So we did. Fallen leaves rendered a new landscape. I tried my hand at bouldering a particular rock. I was about a quarter way up when he laughed and said, "If you really wanted to get to the top of that rock, you should approach it from the other side. It is flat and you could walk upright and get to the top." He missed the point, but won that battle. We tromped through the woods, along ridges, and pondered property lines...as if there were such a thing in the woods....
