This is the view looking north on the Hudson River from near the Shelbourn Redoubt on the campus of theUnited States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Walking the same soil that Grant, Eisenhower, Jefferson Davis, Stonewall Jackson, Sherman, J.E.B. Stuart, Custer, Roscoe Robinson, MacArthur, Westmoreland, and Petraeus tread in their day almost inspired me to write a treatise. But I probably wouldn't get it done tonight so check out the scenery and be happy.
Note the leaves. They are gorgeous but will soon be as historic as the military cadets listed above.
