Here I am.
No excuses. I've not been on vacation or doing anything fun, just been busy doing old fashioned hard work. When not at the day job, I've been tending to sorely neglected home projects. I've put up all my tomatoes, broken new ground for next year's larger garden, made necessary winterizing plans and have successfully ignored weed whacking.
In short, except for work, I have ignored my camera. The few moments I have had with my Nikon were spent exploring different digital venues for a couple of freelance jobs. Above is one such experiment.
I know. This isn't typical Marie photography. But, if you squint real hard and look in the middle of the image, you might see a bee crawling on a Coreopsis. And the base image was taken at Valle Crucis park, right on the edge of the parking lot.
On the weather:
It is 62 degrees today in Boone. It is damp. Some trees are showing the first signs of the upcoming season. I am chilled and have begun thinking about chili and fleece jackets instead of ice cream and t shirts. Ready or not, autumn is near.
