I'm a tad bit backlogged on my posts, but rest assured I have been happily shooting. I have tons to share.
I checked my mail early one morning last week and ran into the Mayor of Valle Crucis at the Mast General Store. The Mayor, John Doe, is 15 years old but the hound still makes his rounds in the community, though perhaps a tad bit slower these days. Mr. Doe was in a rare mood to model for the camera so I delightfully indulged his every whim.
His chief caretaker (Dare I say "owner" works at the store) helped me get the mutt's attention as he posed. I was wearing a new shirt and yet couldn't help but belly down in the parking lot to get this shot. No wonder I always look mess. Anything for a special politician;)
John Doe's Chief Caretaker has always referred to his dog as as "the most foul animal" mostly because of the smelly carpet damage at his home and the resulting cleaning bills incurred. However for the first time I heard him quietly admit, "He's one hellava dog."
