The World Can't Wait...and neither can my sinuses. Stop Patchouli Abuse Now!

There was a gathering of protestors in Boone today. It was affiliated with The World Can't Wait organization.  I covered
their demonstration for my day job.  As you know, I make no political or religious judgments here on this blog because, well,  I tire of hearing it day after day...
But I will enter a plea to all you protesting guys and gals out there. Please Please, I beg of ya...Lighten up on the patchouli! Even on a beautiful autumn day, I was forced to leave your outdoor protest early because the stench of burnt sage and patchouli made me nauseous.
And one more thing...and this is just a bit of advise from a gal who has covered many a protest rallies. Your protests have become cliche--and frankly quite boring. Cute little costumes may be fun, but we just had Halloween. It is time to think outside of the protest box and punch up the creativity . Ya'll are a good group of people, but it'll make for better photos. Do it for me, why don't cha?
I'm just sayin'.....

**Update-Please read** Feel free to comment away about how much you love or hate the smell of Patchouli, (afterall, patchouli is a thing and does not have feelings) but please refrain from making rash generalizations about folks who choose to wear the stuff. For the first time ever, I have had to delete some completely off the wall weird comments from my blog because I pay for this space and I won't allow HATE here. And just to reply to the few of you who emailed me (with more hate than I think is healthy) I assure you that my nose is equally offended by the overuse of Jean Nate. A scent which is predominantly overused by the very nice people who attend an opposite party's meetings. And in case you were wondering, I find their meetings rather ho-hum as well. My point is that the above post is about the overuse of scent and how it affects me physically--and not about the people. I am enamored by all the diversity found in upon this Earth. In fact, I encourage it. That I am sometimes bored with meetings is my problem, not yours.
